How ELECSA Supports You

ELECSA provides the safety assurance and peace of mind that householders need when having work carried out in their home.  We inspect, assess and certificate contractors to do electrical and other building services work in private properties.

Contractors registered on an ELECSA scheme are assessed annually to ensure that they are working to latest industry standards.  Using an ELECSA registered contractor also means that your work is covered by our Platinum Promise.

Additionally by using an ELECSA registered contractor they can self-certify their work as being compliant with the Building Regulations. Automatic notification of work to your local Building Control department removes your headache of meeting the requirements of the Building Regulations yourself.  CLG have a leaflet that explains to homeowners what items of work are typically notifiable.

ELECSA is authorised by Communities and Local Government to operate competent persons schemes and by the Department of Energy and Climate Control to operate the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) and Green Deal.  We are independently audited to ensure that we are meeting the requirements set down by government in operating these schemes which means you can be assured that ELECSA contractors have been robustly assessed as competent to work in your home.
