18th Edition Wiring Regulations – Certification and Reporting Key Timelines

Existing Jobs, Designed to 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, but installed after 1st January 2019
If you have a number of contracts where you have designed your project to the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and the installation will be completed after 1st January 2019, you may want to:
1. Consider ordering some paper based certificates to keep in stock so you can complete your work in 2019
2. Work with your customer to update the project to comply with the new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, if agreeable by all parties.
3. Use NICEIC & ELECSA Online until forms have been removed (see table below)

17th Edition Paper Certificates and Reports
The current paper based 17th Edition Certificates and Reports will be removed from the NICEIC & ELECSA Shop early in 2019.
If you are planning on certifying or reporting on a number of projects after 1st January 2019 it would be advisable to have a stock level of paper based certificates if you are not using NICEIC or ELECSA online.
17th Edition Digital Certificates and Reports via Clik Software
The current digital 17th Edition Certificates and reports will be removed from the NICEIC & ELECSA Webshop by the end of January 2019, meaning you will be unable to start new 17th Edition Certificates or Reports once they are removed from the Clik system.
18th Edition Certificates and Reports
Currently registered businesses can access 18th Edition Certificates and Reports through the following channels:
Paper based certificates and reports are available through the Online Shop


- Electronic certificates and reports are available now through the Online Certification system which comes with several new features and benefits
- Clik are expected to launch the NICEIC & ELECSA 18th Edition certificates and reports through their software in December for more details visit their website
IMPORTANT - Online Certification Scheduled Maintenance
The Online Notification System will be taken down for scheduled maintenance from 8pm Friday 28th December through to 6am Monday 30th December.
You will be unable to create, view or finalise certificates during this period.
