Microgeneration Certification Scheme

This is a scheme to cover the installation of renewable or green technologies.

There has been rapid growth in the popularity and acceptance of renewable technologies as a way of offsetting high energy costs and ensuring stability of energy supplies.

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) was introduced to help ensure good quality products and installations. By setting robust standards the industry can continue to develop with confidence.

Being a registered MCS installer enables your customers to take advantage of current government incentives such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI).

MCS covers the following technologies:

  • Solar Photovoltaic (PV)
  • Solar Thermal
  • Heat Pumps - both ground source and air source
  • Biomass
  • Wind Turbines
  • Combined Heat and Power (CHP)
